Crazy Facts about Strays Rescuers!

Why do the society thinks that Stray Rescuers
HAD LOSE THEIR MIND?!!!!

Crazy Facts:
#1 . Financial
While most people spurge on the latest technology gadgets and fashion, rescuers reserved their money on saving strays on the street.

- TRAP NEUTER RELEASE
While many people chose to saved up their money to keep abreast with the latest trend, strays rescuers would rather live a humble lifestyle, and contribute their saving towards neutering/spaying stray animals. We believe that the MOST EFFECTIVE & HUMANE method to control the strays population.

- ANIMAL FEEDERS
Everyone is struggling with inflation. Strays feeders are of no exception. Just like everyone else, they worked and earned a living with humble profession. What set them apart from the rest of us, is that they have an empathetic heart towards the starving strays on the street. While many people chose to irk at strays, they reached out to them (*the strays).
If stray animals can talk, none of them would want to be born on the street, and exposed to the scorching hot weather, and chilly thunderstorm. If not because of dedicated feeders, today you would be seeing carcass of dogs and cats everywhere on the street.
Believe me, these feeders knows eagch and every dog/cat under their care, and where they are originated from. Some stray dos and cats even have a name

- ANIMAL SHELTER
While animal feeders only dedicate their lives to feed to starving strays, others would go extra miles to provide both food and shelter to the stray animals. There are many
non-government organizations such as Meowy Cat Shelter, SPCA, Save Our Strays (SOS), Penang Animal Welfare Society (4PAWS) depend on kinds and public donations to support their cause. Those animal under their care will be rescued and re-home (*adopters)

SELF-FUNDED SHELTER

Address: 2-1-20, Tingkat Mahsuri 1, Bayan Lepas Penang
Contact: 012-507 4419 (Alexis Tan) / 046881510
Fb: https://www.facebook.com/OnePetzPetStore/?fref=ts

One Petz Pet Store
While those NGO received public funding, One Petz Pet Store was a shelter that solely funded by Alexis Tan (founder) via grooming and boarding services. According to her, many had a wrong perception that a pet shop have a strong financial funding but in actual fact, the inflow of funding every month are inconsistent, but expenses are.
Unlike established animal shelters, she cant expect donors would donate a lum sum of money to the pet shop. All she could do,is to pray that her grooming and boarding business flourish, so that she could afford to cover the shelter's expenses.

She used to provide shelter to dogs & cats, but since shelter animals are not highly in demand, many of them end up living in a shelter and confined in a cage.
Due to financial constraint, all she could do now is to organize an Adoption Drive to help these animals to find a loving family, apart from dedicating her life in Trap Neuter Release program whereby stray animals are rescued and neuter/spay before releasing them back to where they are originated from.

INDIVIDUAL
I came to know another rescuer who converted his own house into a shelter which housed more that 30 dogs in a small car porch. She used to earn a living as a hair-dressed but now she found her purpose of life in dedicating towards providing a better living environment for stray animals.

After giving up her career as a hair-dresser, she was practically unemployed.
Now, I believe everyone's  common question is where she got the shelter fund?

- She collect and sells some old clothes and recyclable items and travel around public area (night market...) for a reasonable price and thats where she raise the fund to run an animal shelter, even though she herself could barely afford a meal a day.

FOSTERER
Fosterer are people who are willing to foster the shelter animals while waiting for the right adopter to take over the responsibility. They provide a comfortable living condition, tend to the welfare of the fostered pets, and bear all the expenses unconditionally.

The Price to Pay?
In everything we do, it comes with a price. We reap what we sow.

#1 Injuries and Scars
Not everyone can be an animal rescuers.
Most people are born with flawless skin, but how many people are willing to lose those
perfection with injuries and scar marks inflicted by animal's scratches & bites?

While cats are usually toilet trained, whereby they bury their poos in the cats sand provided, dogs do their business anywhere and anytime unannounced. Whether the poos are odorless or super stinks that will make you feel nausea, it depends on the type of kibbles (*brand), your dog consumed. Are you ready to get your fingers soiled in a pile of disgusting dungs?

THE PRICELESS REWARDS

#1 No words can describe the feeling of being for being the reason that
these shelter animals get a new lease of life.

#2 Dogs will bless you with the happiest day of your life, and one of the worst days.

Why Do I Sympathize With Najib Razak?

I was born an ordinary Malaysian, earning an average wage, & living a humble life, but I'm living a soulful life because I'm surrounded by loving family, true friends, and most importantly I live significantly.

Life have been tough, since GST was implemented on 1st April, 2015. I started feeling envious of our prime minister who can still afford to purchase & travel in a new private jet and live a luxurious life.

Any Tom, Dick and Harry just wouldn't even dare to dream of such life. All they pray is that their salary is enough to make ends meet, they can still afford to provide food on the table and roof on top of their heads.

1. We are just a visitor on Earth!
Three days ago, I attended a life-changing camp that changed my perspective about life forever. Through this game, I realised that "We came to this world with NOTHING, and we will leave one day with NOTHING". - Which literally means that we can't bring along any of our earthly possession with us. We will face the God's judgement based on how we live our lives. Without money, or any of our possession, what significant deeds we had done during our lifetime is what that matters to God!

2. The Lost Soul
Our dear Prime Minister may had gain the whole world, but what he didnt realised is that he had lose his own soul. His life had been evolving & controlled by money, that he had lose his purpose of life. His selfish ambition had earned him the most hateful ASEAN leader on social media, and many felt bad when something bad didnt happened to him, when he announced to the media that he almost lose his life in a helicopter accident.

3. The Priceless Posessions
Thats not all, in pursuit of his political career, he sacked those who questions his credibility, and hired those who sided him - those new recruited ministers sing praises for him, but are they considered his true friends? Only time will tell... who will stay on by his side, if he has nothing else to offer them but himself.

What more to say, did he live a significant life? If he had been living a life with purpose, he wouldn't have been suffering and tormented each day, because people had been questioning about his credibility as a leader, doubting about his source of wealth, and he is still struggling so much to gain people's respect, even to the extend of restricting the freedom of speech by revolting media's license, and controlling social medias postings!

Basically, I reckoned the reason why he is desperately clinging to his wealth is because without that, he is nothing but an EMPTY SHELL.

P.S: If he thinks that he have been wrongly framed by his people, all it takes is to show a SOLID evidence that those earthly posessions are rightfully belongs to him.

In a nutshell, everyone came to this world with a purpose. In God's eyes, life is not about how much money or earthly posession you have, but what matters is to live according God's plan and purpose for your life.

According to Bible, how can we find purpose in life?
Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil" (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14). Solomon says that life is all about honoring God with our thoughts and lives and thus keeping His commandments, for one day we will stand before Him in judgment. Part of our purpose in life is to fear God and obey Him.

P.S: Personally, I'm not a Christian, but a Free-Thinker who adopts different religion's teaching in my life. My main goal has always been about living a significant life.

3.Sweet Dream Vs Nightmare
While any Tom, Dick and Harry might brag about their funny dreams that they dreamt last night, or just shrug it off... but I believe our dear prime minister must have been having sleepless night, worrying about whether what will happen tomorrow. Who will appear in the public and challenge him to speak up about his lavish lifestyle and an unaccounted amount of money stored inside his personal bank account(s), or maybe he might be a target of attack by some unknown people who had enough of him. Well, I won't be surprised if he feel insecure by taking a walk at public area without his security guards, since he had earned himself a glorious title of "ASEAN'S MOST HATED  LEADER". Well, that is a a saying goes "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW".

So, fellow readers.. lets be grateful that we can still enjoy a peaceful sleep and sweet dream.

Is Life a GIFT or a CURSE?

have you ever ask yourself
Is Life is a gift? or a Curse?

Rubbing on my mom's belly, I used to wonder...

(*I believe everything has a reason. )
So, why was I born in the first place?

Since, I was born, I consumed lots of earthly resources.
I had caused countless troubles unintentionally,
I had created so much inconvenience to others,
I had cost my parents a fortune of expenses.
So, why do I need to endure so much setback in life?

On the other hand, life began with a rocky start,
We struggled to get out of mother's womb,
We struggled to talk, walk and read,
We struggle to learn from mistakes,
We struggle to take our first steps,
(...)
upon reaching maturity,
we struggle financially. and mentally
and we fret about political mess too.
Although, there is nothing much we can do,
Our minds are tired, but what to do?
Our mind was never put to rest,
unknowingly of what will happen next.
Do we earn enough to retire?
Are we on the right path in life?
Where our career will lead us?

So, tell me... Is life a curse after all?

Yes, just like anyone else... I do suffer in silent.
My mind had been over-worked for the past few years,
My timid body had been enduring the effect of global warming,
My career path seems like a dark tunnel, but I just keep walking,
but I know I can't give up on my life, even I feel so hopeless at times.

So, I re-programmed my life. (*Right here) IN MY HEAD!
Most people start their life with a new appearance, but I don't.
I start with a BIG RESOLUTION!

26.1.2015 - I Pledged my Organs

I signed up as an organ donor, and if anything bad happens to me, my organs will give others a second chance in life.

10.2.2016 - I created an animal shelter website
I dont know how much influence my website might help in creating awareness among the society (*since it is my first time creating one) but I'm very proud of myself for showing my utmost dedication towards creating a better world for strays.
Website: http://1petzpetstore.wix.com/one-petz-pet-store

2017 ????????

I believe by making this ONE bold and significant decision in life each year,
we are moving a step towards creating a beautiful world for the next generation.
So, as long as you can still contribute towards creating a better place for everyone, then life is a gift.

Can A Muggle Achieve Immortality?

Hogwarts terminology:

Muggle - an ordinary person who is incapable of performing magic

Philosopher Stone - (*according to Harry Potter Wiki)  Philosopher Stone is an artificial stone with magical properties that produces the Elixir of Life, which will make the drinker immortal.

Horcrux -  (*according to Harry Potter Wiki)A Horcrux is a powerful object that enables a dark wizard/witch has a hidden fragment of his/her soul in pursuit of immortality.

Shakespears said "Life's brief candle"
I couldnt agree more.

While another person said "From the moment we are born,
We are heading towards our own demise"
I think this wise man deserve an applause.

Thats why people always said
"Dream as if you will live forever,
live as if you will die today"
For life is so unpredictable that no man
but only the Almighty knows that our expiry date.
Muggles are so desperately clinging on cruel destiny,
Today is a blessing, but tomorrow? Not promise.

We, muggles are so afraid of dying,
For death spells an eternal goodbye, definitely,
We are seeking desperately for secret to immortality,
when Philosopher Stones & Horcrux only exists in fantasy?

Just as billions of earthlings, I dont have any,
but I do believe that we can achieve immortality.
Just like a Horcrux, we can save lives of many,
via organ donation, pledge them by all means ~
Our lives may one day, end eternally,
but part of us lives on, in those in need.

Horcrux, only exits in fantasy,
Without it, how can I achieve immortality?,
Easy peasy! Just contribute to charity,
Unconditionally & devotedly,
You'll leave behind a legacy,
That etched permanently,
In the soul of mortality.

You may think I'm crazy,
Some says "What a gibberish"
Just Shut Up! and Live!
Just for today only,
You just need to cherish,
and every moment, you live,
Without regrets, live life fully,
That is a total immortality.
Hey! Look, I dont even need,
Philospher Stone, to attain eternity.

Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggled Past Year 2015

2015
2015
2015
2015
2015
day by day, it just passed... and now it is out of sight,
and again it is time to reflect on what we had thrive
& how we managed to weather the storm and survived ...
Twist & turn, our fate took a roller coaster stride,
In good times, we put our feet up & enjoy the ride,
During worst times, we took a bite of (life) lesson and cry.
What I mean is GST, who chose 4/1/15 to say Hi!
Oh, dear. Our disposable income slowly slipped out of sight.

There is a saying that "Money comes like a turtle and goes like a rabbit" which literally
defines that the pace of our income growth is way slower than the inflation growth.
I wish our government knows... but unfortunately, they dont.
Yet, they try to out-smart the rest, by saying 6% GST implementation will make the price
drop low, but wriggling through the storm in 2015, has proven it to be a BIG NO-NO.
The price of basic needs sky-rocketed like no tomorrow, and another minister suggested
we should take a second job, which I did .... SO??

So...
1. Getting a second job. (Working at a pet shop - shelter)
Weekend will never be the same again for me...
No more potato couch habit, & no more friends & family outing.
  • In return, I had gained some valuable soft skills & knowledge about animal care, customer service & what other deemed as trivial skills (fixing the broken pipes, mixing cements, unclogging a drain, & cooking food for the shelter animals)
  • I had expanded my networking circle... (*I realised there are many people out there, who weather the bad economical storm, and yet they are willing to part with their money, to feed, castrate the strays & rescue the injured ones)
  • Taking up a second job had drained my energy (*physically & mentally), as I have been working non-stop for 7 days a week...
  • With the meagre side income, at least it will cushion my weekly expenses.
  • There is a saying goes "Its not how much you earn, it is how much your save"
  • Since then, I self-learned about financial education and also feeling privilege to receive free guidance from a financial guru.
  • I learnt to live rich but frugally.
  • And I never look back since.

2. Pursuing the long term fulfillment

(a) Purchasing a new (*imported) car

Sorry to say, I dont support local products (*films, cars ...)
In pursuit of long term fulfillment wants, you need to make many small sacrifices to get what you want. So, every cent counts. I saved hard on my earnings, and I grabbed the opportunity to changed my old second-handed car, to a brand new Suzuki Alto.
It may just be a humble beginning, but its striking existence proven that if we strive to upgrade our life, We Can! and We Will... and if we don't, we will always be at the same old spot ---- Keep complaining about factors that we cant control, wishing & praying for miracle to happen.

If your complains keeps growing, wont change our life for better, but EFFORTS will.

(b) Trip to South Korea

It is strange that no matter which country you are originated from, you will always dream that you will be able to visit a particular country, if you are given a chance.

As for me, I grew up when the Hallyu Wave started.
Since then, I had been harboring a dream that I will be able to land my feet on its majestic shore.

Opportunity came knocking, 2 years after planning for a 'Cousins Trip" which consisted of we, cousins who grew up together. Alright, lets move back in time to April 10, 2015

On this fateful day, a team of 5 consisted of (3 Malaysians & 2 Singaporeans) took our own respective flight and meet up at KLIA2, and thats where our backpacking adventure started.

It was my very first backpacking trip and I do have some regrets which I think I could do better if I were given a second chance.

Well, here's the catch.

Although travelling (*via backpacking) in a group was fun, but ...

1. Sometimes, we need to bite the bullet, when it comes to compromising each other's wants & needs

     - (*Toilet break)

A member of the group was ill, on the day we departed for Korea. Our adventure               was interrupted, as she constantly bothering us for a toilet break.

    - Difference of interests.
While the group members from Singapore, had been on sight-seeing to Korea, this
time, they chose to ignore our intention to visit places, and focus solely on food &             shopping haven.
but overall (April 10, 2015 - April 19, 2015), it was a fun ride, and I wish I will be able to make up to the losses by joining a tour trip to Korea in future.

3. Bonuses CUT in Income
To add salt to injury, the company I used to take pride of working hard for (*despite constant advises that I should learn to work smart) had decided to reward the filthy rich shareholders by further reducing the monetary benefits for their employees.

Yes, they do know the rule "In each decision you make, you cant please everyone!"
So, they chose to sacrifice the needs of the needy ones (*their employees)

They cut their employees bonuses, and further reduced their employees KPI (*Key Performance Index) who contributed towards the company's growth and lent a hand in company's event preparation...

They heartlessly let the employees down, & hope that these people will feel motivated to continue to go extra miles for the company.
Shakespears said "To be or not to be, that is a question"

If we lose our momentum to go extra miles, we are putting our career in line.
If we do, the management team will think that it is ok to further cut down on those benefits. We, employees will accept it with open heart. We employees can still cope well without these extra monetary benefits.

In a nutshell, intelligent people will diversify their financial portfolios and wont put all their eggs in one basket, but at the same time, learn to safeguard their keeps from schools of financial piranhas.

With this, I end on a high note that I managed to wiggle, wiggle, wiggled through 2015' with low and high tides, but now it is time to say Goodbye, and bid 2016, with a new sets of revolution to strive.

Private & Controversial Mind of A Singleton

 Christmas is approaching,
Soon, I will be approaching my 30's
Time flies and keep ticking,
without stopping & rewinding.

The time has changed,

yet people's perception remains,
As a woman, you need a man!
If you don't settle down, then
your life will be Damn!!%*^#&$99)($#()

Singleton by choice,

Getting hitched with pride,
We all think different, yet alike,
Pursuing the path that we like,
to seek fulfillment in our lifetime.

It is quite alarming to know that Malaysian population are shrinking.
(especially the Chinese Malaysians)
- See more at: http://www.themalaymailonline.com/malaysia/article/study-by-2050-seven-out-of-10-malaysians-will-be-muslims#sthash.yzeT936a.dpuf

"When it comes yo declining birth rates, the government wants

Malaysian to worry less about quality, and focus more on quantity."
the statements reflects on how desperate Malaysian government is,
in tackling on this alarming issue.

No matter what happen, even if the human species is facing extinction...

Singletons stay firm on their decision to stay single by choice.
Yes! people like us are constantly receiving pressure
from friends & family to find a partner & settle down.
I believe some will most probably cussing us making such a selfish decision.

Hear us out, folks...before you make any lopsided judgement on singletons

1. FREEDOM
Everyone has 24 hours a day,
                               7days a week,
                                      365 days a year.
If you think that you have additional time to spend with your family, friends & on yourself, after having a partner... YOU ARE ILLUSIONAL.
Those time, are originated from the personal time you used to spend
with you family & friends.

As time passed, you will realize that the ratio of time, you spent with your partner are
more than with your family/friends or spending solitary time doing what you enjoy most (*combined)
Sometimes, you have to make a decision that gives a win-win situation for both parties.

Reason: Relationship is all about compromising & committed to each other.

2. RESPONSIBILITIES
Unless you are only interesting in flirting around, usually a loving relationship will lead to marriage. Centuries had passed, and providing a status in the book of law, is well preserved. That is where the responsibility sprouted from a root to branches in a family tree.
During courting times, you are only getting involve in your partner's life.
but after marriage, it is not a matter of two individuals, but of two families.
       - you will find yourself getting involve in your own family's affair as well as your
lifetime partner's. Do your homework on how you can juggle your dual roles well as a
         daughter/son and son/daughter in-law.
       - and the remaining time, you need to focus on own children's welfare & career.

Do you still have enough time for yourself??

3. FINANCIAL

Before you consider about the government's effort to increase the population, look into your own pockets...
In reality, everyone (*including the ministers) only worry about their own pockets.

GST, inflation and depreciation of currency value have caused the price of basic necessity

sky-rocketed, while your coffer growth remains stagnant.
What did the same ministers who plead the people to worry less about quality and
focus on quantity do to ease your financial burden??

Have they make any effective move that will help you to increase your coffer?
                --  NO.
Have they step up to provide subsidies for your children's welfare? -- NO.

So, why should we, singletons oblige the government's effort to settle down & increase the population, when our coffer is shrinking day by day? Increasing the population will only increase these minister's coffer via GST, as our saving diminishes into the 'nation's coffer'

When you have a meagre income, every cent counts.

When you have more financial responsibilities on others, you will have less for yourself.

4. Hardship

During this economy slowdown, are you having a hard time to make ends meet?

Do you feel safe, as the recent global crime gets more violent and ruthless?

The world is no longer a nice place to live, as people are getting more satanic in the name of God/religion. If suicide bombing & massive killing are preached as a religious act, and not a sin, the world is in a verge of self-destruction.

Good health may no longer prolong our expiry date... and our future are bleak.
We cant help but to worry for our own safety...
we might not know when we might be at the wrong place, at the wrong time... as such
      criminal act just happened unannounced.

Why should we dedicate our lives by fulfilling others, and sidelining our own?
Why should we produce 'another being' to consume our scarce resources, and
ride on the hardship together, for the sake of contributing towards population growth?

Reason: Singleton just want to spend every moments of their life
on pursuing what they enjoy most (*without restrictions)
and live their life to the fullest.

5. Purpose of Life
After getting into a relationship, you may enjoy
 * dining at restaurants
 * Overseas adventure
 * Hanging out frequently with friends

but.... you lose your purpose of life.
Your main concern will most probably evolves around your partner...
 --- Have he/she taken his/her meal?
---- why isnt she returning my call/reply my message?
--- I wonder what is he/she doing right now?

or just a (*sigh) I miss him/her so much... after a period of separation.

These thoughts occupied every inches of room in ones brain, that there is no space to have a second thought about the true purpose of life.
---- What they themselves actually want to achieve in life?

Till the end, ones can only summed up as
"settling down with an ideal partner, and live happily ever after"

but for a singleton, we believe we can achieve more,
whether in contributing back to the society...
than just a babies making producers.
to do what we think is best in nurturing our own soul..
there are many other earthling out there who needs us...

Live Your Freedom

The meaning of freedom is to live
every second in life to the fullest.
