Crazy Facts about Strays Rescuers!

Why do the society thinks that Stray Rescuers
HAD LOSE THEIR MIND?!!!!

Crazy Facts:
#1 . Financial
While most people spurge on the latest technology gadgets and fashion, rescuers reserved their money on saving strays on the street.

- TRAP NEUTER RELEASE
While many people chose to saved up their money to keep abreast with the latest trend, strays rescuers would rather live a humble lifestyle, and contribute their saving towards neutering/spaying stray animals. We believe that the MOST EFFECTIVE & HUMANE method to control the strays population.

- ANIMAL FEEDERS
Everyone is struggling with inflation. Strays feeders are of no exception. Just like everyone else, they worked and earned a living with humble profession. What set them apart from the rest of us, is that they have an empathetic heart towards the starving strays on the street. While many people chose to irk at strays, they reached out to them (*the strays).
If stray animals can talk, none of them would want to be born on the street, and exposed to the scorching hot weather, and chilly thunderstorm. If not because of dedicated feeders, today you would be seeing carcass of dogs and cats everywhere on the street.
Believe me, these feeders knows eagch and every dog/cat under their care, and where they are originated from. Some stray dos and cats even have a name

- ANIMAL SHELTER
While animal feeders only dedicate their lives to feed to starving strays, others would go extra miles to provide both food and shelter to the stray animals. There are many
non-government organizations such as Meowy Cat Shelter, SPCA, Save Our Strays (SOS), Penang Animal Welfare Society (4PAWS) depend on kinds and public donations to support their cause. Those animal under their care will be rescued and re-home (*adopters)

One Petz Pet Store
While those NGO received public funding, One Petz Pet Store was a shelter that solely funded by Alexis Tan (founder) via grooming and boarding services. According to her, many had a wrong perception that a pet shop have a strong financial funding but in actual fact, the inflow of funding every month are inconsistent, but expenses are.
Unlike established animal shelters, she cant expect donors would donate a lum sum of money to the pet shop. All she could do,is to pray that her grooming and boarding business flourish, so that she could afford to cover the shelter's expenses.

She used to provide shelter to dogs & cats, but since shelter animals are not highly in demand, many of them end up living in a shelter and confined in a cage.
Due to financial constraint, all she could do now is to organize an Adoption Drive to help these animals to find a loving family, apart from dedicating her life in Trap Neuter Release program whereby stray animals are rescued and neuter/spay before releasing them back to where they are originated from.

INDIVIDUAL
I came to know another rescuer who converted his own house into a shelter which housed more that 30 dogs in a small car porch. She used to earn a living as a hair-dressed but now she found her purpose of life in dedicating towards providing a better living environment for stray animals.

After giving up her career as a hair-dresser, she was practically unemployed.
Now, I believe everyone's  common question is where she got the shelter fund?

- She collect and sells some old clothes and recyclable items and travel around public area (night market...) for a reasonable price and thats where she raise the fund to run an animal shelter, even though she herself could barely afford a meal a day.

FOSTERER
Fosterer are people who are willing to foster the shelter animals while waiting for the right adopter to take over the responsibility. They provide a comfortable living condition, tend to the welfare of the fostered pets, and bear all the expenses unconditionally.

The Price to Pay?
In everything we do, it comes with a price. We reap what we sow.

#1 Injuries and Scars
Not everyone can be an animal rescuers.
Most people are born with flawless skin, but how many people are willing to lose those
perfection with injuries and scar marks inflicted by animal's scratches & bites?

While cats are usually toilet trained, whereby they bury their poos in the cats sand provided, dogs do their business anywhere and anytime unannounced. Whether the poos are odorless or super stinks that will make you feel nausea, it depends on the type of kibbles (*brand), your dog consumed. Are you ready to get your fingers soiled in a pile of disgusting dungs?

THE PRICELESS REWARDS

#1 No words can describe the feeling of being for being the reason that
these shelter animals get a new lease of life.

#2 Dogs will bless you with the happiest day of your life, and one of the worst days.
