DBSK DEBUT:
Unlike the manifesting of new k-pop groups who have lots of opportunities
to gain popularity upon debut, DBSK members started off from a scratch.
During their debut in 14/2/2004, the craze of idol groups was deteriorating fast,
but they hold on to their faith, and persevered through an arduous struggle for years
before they can finally enjoy the fruit of success in Korea.
October 2004 :
- They received mainstream recognition following the release of their physical single album HUG
- Their struggle, hard work and dedication towards their dream had paid off when their first studio album TRI-ANGLE and RISING SUN became the top seller whereby 100,000 copies was sold.
April 2005:
- Under a management company, AVEX, DBSK was given a golden opportunity to penetrate into the Japanese market.
- TVXQ entered the Japanese-language market in April 2005 with their debut single "Stay with Me Tonight", but their first Japanese album Heart Mind and Soul was met with limited success. (source: Wikipedia)
27 April 2005:
- Being known as a Kpop legend in Korea, they expect to perform in front of thousands, but only 500 people turned up to watch their performance.
- Since none of them were fluent in Japanese language, they felt stranded in a foreign land.
- They had no one to turn to, but among themselves.
- It took them years to master Japanese language, and make their first hit in Japan.
- They finally received recognition as Jpop artiste, because they took the efforts to master Japanese language and culture, and started from nothing.
2009:
- Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu were determined to leave SM Entertainment, while Yunho and Changmin chose to stay.
Mid 2009:
- Jaejoong, Yoochun & Junsu filed a lawsuit against their label company SM Entertainment to terminate their (13 years) slave contract.
31-12-2009
- The legendary Kpop band, DBSK finally disband after performing Stand By You at NHK 60th Kouhaku Uta Gasse.
